David J. Ayo is an associate in the Lafayette office of Allen & Gooch. His primary areas of practice include professional liability — predominantly in the defense of attorneys in legal malpractice actions — and business litigation in federal, state and bankruptcy court. David's appellate practice includes the prosecution and defense of appeals, as well as assisting other members of the firm with various appellate matters. David also has assisted and appeared in matters pending before various federal and state regulatory bodies.
Prior to obtaining his LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center, David served as a judicial clerk for Justice William L. Waller Jr. of the Supreme Court of Mississippi, where he assisted in matters ranging from death penalty direct appeals to complex commercial and insurance appeals.
