Neil G. Vincent is a partner in the Lafayette office of Allen & Gooch. Neil received a bachelor of science in accounting from University of Louisiana at Lafayette and earned his Juris Doctor in 1985 from Louisiana State University. He joined Allen & Gooch in 1985. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, Neil is a licensed Title Insurance Agent.
Neil's practice is primarily commercial in representation of financial institutions and business interests. He works extensively with both lenders and borrowers on a variety of commercial lending transactions including asset-based lending, syndicated credit documentation, secured and unsecured commercial lending, and structured finance. He also represents financial institutions and borrowers in real estate development and real estate investment opportunities, including title examination support and the issuance of title insurance for real estate based transactions.
Neil regularly provides counseling and representation to businesses and business people in various areas focusing primarily on the formation of business entities; mergers, sales and acquisitions; lease preparation and negotiations for commercial properties; negotiation of vessel construction contracts and financing; as well as master service agreements and blanket time charter agreements for marine transportation companies; and negotiation of other business transactional documents.
In the course of representing his financial and business clients, Neil has partnered with other litigation specialists in the firm to develop experience in the mediation, arbitration, and litigation of complex business disputes, especially those matters which are highly financial in nature.
