Lamont P. Domingue, is a 1991 graduate of LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center, an AV-rated attorney, and a partner in the Lafayette office of Allen & Gooch. After graduating in business in 1985 from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana Lafayette), Lamont graduated from LSU Law Order of the Coif and, with his teammate, won the prestigious Robert Lee Tullis Moot Court Competition, an honored LSU Law tradition since 1936.
Lamont’s primary practice area is representing manufacturers, dealers, contractors, insurers and lenders in the manufactured and modular housing industry and recreational vehicle industry. Lamont has extensive trial and appellate experience representing industry participants in class action, mass tort, multi-district litigation (MDL), product liability, and product warranty matters in all state and federal courts throughout Louisiana. Lamont also has extensive experience representing clients in administrative matters before Louisiana’s state agencies, boards and commissions. Lamont’s strong work ethic, attention to detail and innovative and cost-effective solutions have benefitted his clients throughout his 35 years of legal service.
Lamont also routinely represents business owners and companies in business litigation and serves as local counsel to a diverse array of companies to assist their out-of-state counsel with pro hac vice admission and navigating the local rules, practices and demographics of Louisiana’s state and federal courts.
