Eric J. Waltner

Eric J. Waltner is a partner in the Lafayette office of Allen & Gooch and a member of the firm’s Litigation Group. Eric obtained his law degree from Louisiana State University in 1999, after graduating magna cum laude with a B.A. from the University of Louisiana Lafayette in 1996. Eric was a member of the LSU Law Review and achieved the Order of the Coif, an honor based upon academic excellence. Eric works to aggressively represent his clients in his primary practice areas of employment law and general litigation, and has handled significant cases throughout the State.  He also has represented various entities in the defense of claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act.

Eric’s practice frequently includes the representation of a diverse array of business entities from staffing agencies to oilfield service companies, from large retailers to small family businesses, from school boards and libraries to nursing homes and retirement communities, from trucking companies to construction companies, welding fabricators, steel erectors, police juries and airlines. And of course, Eric also has a broad range of experience in premises liability, automobile and other general casualty claims.
